Remember when Disney released the Space Mountain Soundscape a few months back? Well, they heard our pleas for MORE official music & ambience, as we have another video chock-full of eye candy to enjoy straight from Walt Disney World.
In honor of National Monorail Day on March 6th, Disney released a four-hour ambient video of hopping aboard a Mark IV monorail journeying from the Ticket and Transportation Center to EPCOT, again and again and again… You can catch Disney Parks’ video here!
This video was put together by Disney’s team well before the park was open, so there’s no guests around. It provides a unique white noise with the sounds of riding along an empty monorail car, with the occasional doors openings and closures at the stations; complete with “please stand clear of the doors. Por favor manténgase alejado de las puertas”. (I do sort of wish there was an option to incorporate the chimes and additional announcements, too!) The visuals? Beautiful. Only Disney can provide us fans with a completely empty monorail ride for four hours. The way the sun hits during *this moment* of the loop captures me every time. Just look at that EPCOT trash can standing proudly!
One of the best feelings during any Disney vacation is when you get to board the monorail. Even if it’s your last one of the trip back to your resort or car, there’s something special about that closing nighttime ride.
Now I’m holding out for the Magic Kingdom monorail loop drop, complete with stops at the Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian resorts! What sort of ambient parks videos would you like to see?
