The Festival of the Masters presented by Michaels is centered at Downtown Disney Westside, and features the works of some of today's top artists. Artwork mediums such as photography, glass work, paintings, sculptures, prints, drawings, jewelry, leather & wood, mixed media and collage, and Digital art are displayed. At the Marketplace, amazing chalk artists from the The Central Florida Chalk Artists Association create masterpieces on 3,000 square feet of sidewalks.

The Event artwork features one of a kind paintings for purchase ranging in price from $195 to $6000.  Festival of the Masters merchandise includes T-shirts, mugs, hats, bags, a watch, poster and limited edition pen set.

In addition to art, several restaurants at Downtown Disney offer select food for purchase.

This year's Festival of the Masters features charity art which will benefit the Red Chair Project.

If you're in town, it's well worth a visit and best of all, it's "free." (There's a word you don't often associate with Disney.)

• D-Street - one of a kind artist vinyl available from favorite Disney artists
  Over 150 award-winning artists and their merchandise on display
• House of Blues Folk Art Festival - 35 folk artists present their grassroots and funk art
• Disney Art Tent - Feature artists showcase a variety of art styles featuring Disney characters
  

Pleasure Island

• Walt Disney World Artists - Meet official Disney artists. Fine art is available for purchase.
  
• Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant - display of Irish artwork
• Display of art by Graham Knuttle, a renowned Irish painter and sculptor.
• Curl by Sammy Duvall - An artist will create a masterpiece on a pair of TOMS shoes
• Original Disney artwork is available for purchase - proceeds benefit the Red Chair Project, an organization that supports the arts in Central Florida.

Marketplace

More than 100 chalk artists from The Central Florida Chalk Artists Association will create masterpieces on over 3,000 square feet of sidewalks.

  • Kids will get a mini square and free chalk to create their own masterpieces!
  • Kids can build LEGO masterpieces with a LEGO master builder.

  • Music at the Front Porch Bar at House of Blues
  • Outdoor musical performances at Bongoes Cuban Cafe
  • Cast of Cirque du Soleil will perform on the plaza by the La Nouba box office
• Face painting by the makeup technicians of Cirque du Soleil La Nouba
• Pin Trading - There will be a limited edition 36th Annual Festival of the Masters pin available for purchase at Disney’s Pin Traders and World of Disney at the Marketplace or at the Merchandise Exhibit on the West Side.
• Dominoes tables set up for game play with game masters at Pleasure Island
• Disney Interactive will showcase two new video games, Disney Universe and Disney Princess Enchanted Storybook presented by THQ.

Interactive Activities With Michaels
The Michaels Design Team offers interactive arts and crafts experiences for the whole family.  Activities include:

• Custom Framing: Learn about the different ways you can frame your art.
• MiDesign@Michaels™: Learn about creating digital scrapbooking and photo books
• Collaborative Painting: Work together to finish a larger-than-life masterpiece. Located at Downtown Disney West Side.
• Design-Your-Own Friendship Bracelets: Design colorful friendship bracelets.
• Disney Wood-Framing Experience: Make and keep your own picture frame with exciting Disney decorations.
• Michaels at the Waterside Stage: At these seminars, you will learn about crafty ideas and tips for the whole family.
