You might remember my feature from last summer, where I mapped out all the photo booth locations across Walt Disney World. Since then, a few things have changed—most notably, the booth at Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama has [sadly] disappeared… or has it? Meanwhile, a sleeker, more modern style of booth has been popping up in new spots, offering a wide variety of Disney character options. And yet, the Boardwalk still doesn’t have a replacement booth?
Well, I’m back with an update! Here’s your guide to all the current places you can stop, pose, and capture a photo strip (or five) at Disney World; a fun, nostalgic keepsake you can take home instantly.
The Rare Photo Booths Offering Theme Park Frames
There are now two different types of photo booths at Walt Disney World: one offers character and park-themed frames, and you’re able to scan your MagicBand or park ticket to add to your Disney account for PhotoPass downloads. These booths offer 3 tear-away strips of 4 photos for $7 each.
- EPCOT – Head into ImageWorks, Imagination’s post-show area, for two photo booth options: one offering strips, and the other offering single-cell framed prints.

What’s even better, these elusive booths built for the parks offer some extraordinary frame themes. Who knows how long those EPCOT ones featuring the old logo and Fountain of Nations will last? And they’re categorized as “2023”… what?

As of writing this article, the double-sided photo booth at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort is STILL missing! One was apparently “on the way” last summer… maybe a newer type will make its way here soon?!
And let’s pour one out for the DinoRama Photo Booth… Oddly enough, the last time I visited EPCOT’s booths, one was offering Dino-Rama and DINOSAUR-themed frames!

Even if the frames or locations must be updated, I hope these precious park-exclusive photo booths stick around!
NEW Mickey Mouse Photo Booths
A new type of photo booth has started cropping up across select Disney Resort arcades and Disney Springs. These booths do not sync up with your Disney account, therefore, they do not offer PhotoPass downloads. These aren’t park-exclusive, as I’ve spotted this type within a mall or two recently, too.

However, these booths do offer a huge catalog of Disney character frame options including Mickey & Friends, Cars, Disney Princesses, Marvel, Nightmare Before Christmas, Winnie the Pooh, and THE MUPPETS! (You know I was woo-wooing over here)

These strips are a bit more expensive with a pair of tear-aways of 3 photos priced at $10. The interface is more modern, with quick, step-by-step directions. In case you capture a dud, you do have the opportunity to retake all three photos one time… but you should be ready to pose right after you pay, as there’s little prep time.

Newer photo booth locations:
- Resort Arcades – I’ve spotted these mostly inside Value Resort arcades; including All-Star Music, All-Star Movies, Pop Century, and Art of Animation.
- Disney Springs – at the end of the Art of Disney along the Marketplace side, you’ll find a lone Photo Booth waiting to snap some memories.
Let me know if you spot anymore photo booths on your next Disney World visit!
