Disneyland Resort announces more updates to musical acts

The Disneyland Resort has announced updates to several of their musical groups in conjunction with the Diamond Celebration honoring the 60th birthday of Disneyland Park. The Dapper Dans at Disneyland Park, as well as the Red Car Trolley News Boys and Five & Dime at Disney California Adventure will have new material beginning May 22nd. D23 Expo adds new 7,500-seat venue

D23: The Official Disney Fan Club has announced that for this year’s D23 Expo they have added a new 7,500-seat venue (“Hall D23”) that will be located in Hall D of the Anaheim Convention Center floor, allowing more guests to see some of the larger presentations. Disney buys a nearby Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel

The Walt Disney Company has purchased the Carousel Inn, a 131-room Good Neighbor Hotels located on Harbor Boulevard directly across from the Disneyland Resort. The purchase for $32 million from Good Hope International was finalized on March 23 and was made using a limited-liability corporation, Carousel Holdings EAT. According to a Disneyland spokesperson, the current Disney buys a nearby Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel

Disneyland releases more details of Diamond Celebration

This week the Disneyland Resort released more information about entertainment, merchandise and food items that are coming for the Diamond Celebration, plus announced a new contest related to the celebration celebrating Disneyland Park’s 60th birthday. Disneyland confirms upgrades to classic attractions

The Disneyland Resort has finally confirmed two rumored upgrades to classic Fantasyland attractions. When the Matterhorn Bobsleds reopen on May 16th, guests will see new effects and according to the DisneyParks Blog, “the Abominable Snowman in ways you’ve never seen him before.” The upgrades to Peter Pan’s Flight, which opens May 21st, include a new Disneyland confirms upgrades to classic attractions

Finale for the Disneyland Band?

The Disney Parks Blog posted recently that live music would be “expanding at Disneyland Park beginning July 17,” with more musical acts throughout the day and new arrangements and themed performances for the Disneyland Band. What the official Disney site didn’t say is that, per union contract, current members of the band were recently given Finale for the Disneyland Band?

Disneyland fan snaps photo of Diamond Celebration decorations

Disneyland fans Morgan and Tina Freitag were heading to the Resort recently when they passed by a truck carrying what appear to be decorations destined for Sleeping Beauty Castle and Carthay Circle Restaurant.
