In case you didn’t notice, Disney has really stepped up their presentation game in the last few years. Even though they were already theme park legends for providing above-average food and beverages, I’ve noticed that in recent years, there has been an obvious shift in their approach to special edition food and beverage offerings. Maybe it’s the rise of social media, with Insta-worthy menu items more likely to get more attention, or perhaps it’s a new level of care and attention to culinary detail that offers us these beautiful and unique creations. I’m genuinely not sure; however, I’m finding myself more and more wanting to purchase items that I am not even interested in eating.
Have you ever heard the sentiment that something looks too good to eat? That’s where I find myself with many of these new food items, especially the Limited Edition Sweets! I want to have them, even if I don’t particularly like the flavor profile in the description. I know that sounds crazy, and I’ve kept it to myself for a while now until I started seeing a rise in comments across social media saying the same thing. “I don’t even like chocolate, but if I don’t get that Madame Leota cake, I will perish,” said one just this week, referring to the latest Halloween Foodie Guide. It was at that moment that I realized the solution to my problem, which would allow me to write this Disney Confessional for you. Disney Eats Foodie Guide Ornaments.
Think about it: some of your favorite Disney Eats creations that already feel like they are too intricate and gorgeous to break into and eat, preserved as an ornament collection for your holiday tree? Doesn’t that sound fantastic? Not only could they be a special series in themselves, but they could also be collected as part of each event as a keepsake. An ongoing collectible from each holiday or event, perfectly presented as an annual reminder of that experience. I confess, I have occasionally purchased food items that I knew wouldn’t be my cup of tea based on the description, but for some reason, I just wanted to see one and have it. It’s not ideal, but look at them, they are so beautiful! While I am totally sold on my new ornament idea, the powers that be at Disney might need a little more convincing. What do you think? Would you be persuaded by a Disney Ornament line inspired by past special menu treats?
