Later this week, the well-traveled Disney Wonder begins thawing out from her summer in Alaska with a visit to the Mexican Riviera.
There is just one remaining 7-Night Mexican Riviera sailing this year, but the Wonder will sail there five times in 2019 and already has two dates scheduled in early 2020!
The Mexican Riviera itinerary includes stops in Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta, plus three relaxing days at sea.
One of the more popular ways to spend a day in the Mexican Rivera is to hit the beach! All three ports offer several beaches with beautiful turquoise waters.
Those turquoise waters are also the home to opportunities for sailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and more! If you’re a amateur fisherman, Cabo San Lucas is the perfect place to test those skills.
If you want to stay dry, there is still plenty to do in the Mexican Riviera, including golf, horseback riding, nature hikes, ziplines, and a 4-wheel-drive excursion through the jungle.
There’s nothing like ziplining over the beautiful terrain in Puerto Vallarta.
(Yes, that’s me.)
In addition to all of the adventures, you’ll want to soak in some of the Mexican culture…and do some shopping. Each port offers a variety of affordable souvenirs, plus some beautiful handmade items, including silver, ceramic and wooden art pieces.
During those three days at sea, the focus turns to the beautiful Disney Wonder, where there’s plenty to do for every member of the family, including the Marvel Super Hero Academy for the kids, sports deck for the teens, spa treatments for the adults, and Broadway-style entertainment for the whole family, including “Frozen, A Musical Spectacular.”
Finally, the Disney Wonder is also the home to Tiana’s Place, one of three restaurants you’ll visit during your cruise, with its live jazz music and New Orleans-inspired cuisine.
In addition to the Mexican Riviera sailing that leaves from San Diego this Sunday, October 7, the Wonder will return again:
- 2019: April 21, 28, May 5, October 20, 27
- 2020: March 29, April 12
