Rare Collection of Disneyland and Walt Disney World Memorabilia to be Auctioned Off December 7-8

The Van Eaton Art Galleries in Sherman Oaks, California, known as the go-to auction house for Disney memorabilia, is once again auctioning off some incredibly rare items from the Disney parks. The Disneyland memorabilia auction will take place on December 7, 2019, and the Walt Disney World auction will occur on December 8, 2019. Disney Imagineer Nancy Seruto and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Honored with Thea Awards

The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) has announced their latest recognitions, and they have awarded Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge with two Thea Awards for Outstanding Achievement. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge was given a Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement – New Park Land. TEA also awarded Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run with the award for Outstanding Achievement – Attraction. It appears that the Disneyland Resort will be offering additional Early Entry benefits during the Christmas, leading up to New Year’s Eve. Typically, Extra Magic Hour for hotel guests and Magic Morning for guests with special multi-day tickets are only offered on a set schedule (and never both parks on the same day). Brightly Colored Neon Trees to Light Up Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort

Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort will be shining brightly this holiday season with a new display of colorful trees set to be completed this weekend. The Enhancement and Horticulture teams have created the display, which they’re calling “Let it Glow,” using over 200 UV glow trees and 70 glow rings. Carthay Circle Restaurant at Disney California Adventure to be Closed Much of January

The Disneyland Resort revealed on their website recently that Carthay Circle Restaurant in Disney California Adventure will be closed much of January 2020. The popular upscale restaurant from Chef Andrew Sutton is scheduled to be closed beginning January 6th and expected to reopen on January 31st.
