Oscar Winner Barry Jenkins to Direct Sequel to Live-Action ‘The Lion King’

The Walt Disney Studios has brought in Barry Jenkins to direct a sequel to Jon Favreau’s 2019 remake of The Lion King. Jenkins directed and co-wrote 2016’s Moonlight, for which he received an Academy Award nomination for his direction and won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay. Disney Magic Returns to ABC’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Monday Night

Tonight on Dancing with the Stars, 14 celebrity and pro-dancer couples compete for the third week as the magic of Disney returns to the ballroom live from 8:00-10:00 p.m. Eastern on ABC. New Pixar SparkShort ‘Burrow’ to Premier in Theaters Before ‘Soul’

Disney-Pixar has announced that their latest SparkShort, Burrow, will debut in theaters before Soul on November 20th. The Mandalorian, black-ish, and National Geographic Win 2020 Creative Arts Emmy Awards

UPDATE 09/19:20: The Disney+ breakout hit, The Mandalorian, has won another 2 Emmys, this time for Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a Drama Series, Limited Series or Movie, and Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score). Ludwig Göransson was the composer.
