UPDATE 09/19/2023:
UPDATE 2:45 p.m.: The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission has safely captured the adult female black bear spotted in a tree at Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. The bear will be relocated to an area near the Ocala National Forest.
A new statement issued from Disney:
We are working with the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission and have made the decision to reopen Frontierland, Liberty Square and Adventureland.
As shared by the FWC, staff are on site and working on capturing and relocating the bear.

UPDATE 12:30 p.m.: Parts of Adventureland have reopened to guests, with certain areas and attractions still closed off.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission confirmed that they are aware of reports of a black bear in the Magic Kingdom and that Biologists with the FWC’s Bear Management Program and FWC Law Enforcement officers are on the scene to capture and relocate the bear.
Attractions in Adventureland, Frontierland, and Liberty Square at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World are temporarily closed. WDWMagic and other sources report that the closures are due to a bear in the area.
