Some folks might remember that back in mid-September, the Walt Disney Studios announced their completion of filming their live-action adaption of Jungle Cruise starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Emily Blunt. Via the Jungle Cruise Twitter account, actor Dwayne Johnson shared a look at the massive set for the upcoming Jungle Cruise film, co-starring Emily Blunt. Johnson talked about Walt Disney and his involvement in the original attraction, then said “Walt, this one’s for you buddy” as the camera panned out to reveal the huge set. According to Variety, British comedian and actor Jack Whitehall has been tapped to join Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt in Disney’s live-action production of The Jungle Cruise. The reports say that Whitehall is set to play Blunt’s brother in the film which is a key role in the storyline. A casting call for “extras and specialty work in an action/adventure movie being filmed on Kauai this summer” has been put out by Hollywood.
