A Minimized Easter Egg Display at Disney’s Grand Floridian

If you’re stopping by Disneyโ€™s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa this spring, you’ll notice a significantly smaller Easter display than in years past. The resortโ€™s lobby has long been known for its elaborate seasonal showcases, but in 2026 only three decorated Easter egg sculptures are featured inside the main building.

Traditionally, the Grand Floridianโ€™s lobby would host a full collection of intricately decorated chocolate eggs (often around 20 designs) displayed alongside the resortโ€™s seasonal Grand Cottage.

The display became a seasonal highlight for anyone strolling through the Victorian-style lobby. (Take a look at last year’s display here!)

This year, however, the presentation is noticeably scaled back, with just three eggs created by the resortโ€™s talented culinary Cast Members on display scattered around the 2nd floor of the lobby, and a few more inside the individual lobbies of the resort’s room buildings.

Itโ€™s currently unclear whether this smaller display is a one-time change or the start of a new approach to the resortโ€™s Easter dรฉcor. The lobby has undergone a transformation, including the addition of the new lobby bar – The Perch – that opened in November 2025.

Seasonal traditions at the resort have already seen some adjustments due to the lobby updates. During the 2025 holiday season, the beloved life-size gingerbread house did not return while construction wrapped up for the new barโ€™s debut — and the towering Christmas tree seemed like a tight fit right next to the bar.

While the Easter display may be smaller this year, you can still find a few beautifully crafted eggs throughout the second floor of the main building.

The 2026 Grand Floridian Lobby Easter Eggs

The Little Mermaid Egg created by Culinary Cast Member Juan

Located in the left display window at M. Mouse Mercantile, this egg is inspired by The Little Mermaid.

The scene features a 3D sculpted fondant figure of Ariel sitting on rocky coral formations surrounded by seaweed and ocean details. Sebastian rests beside her while Flounder sits in her lap. The egg behind the figures is decorated with painted seahorses and fish, with King Tritonโ€™s palace appearing in the background. On the back of the egg, Ursulaโ€™s face is painted across the shell, while Flotsam and Jetsam appear along the base. Sculpted poor, unfortunate souls rise from the bottom as Ursulaโ€™s tentacles wrap around the sides of the egg.

Mulan Egg created by Culinary Cast Member Jade

Displayed in the right display window of M. Mouse Mercantile, this egg takes inspiration from Mulan. The base resembles rugged terrain trimmed with red icing and accented by a gold Mickey medallion. The front of the egg shows Mulan in full armor riding her horse, Khan, as if charging into battle. The back of the egg appears cracked open in dramatic fashion, revealing sculpted figures of Mushu and Cri-Kee emerging from inside.

Bambi Egg created by Culinary Cast Member John

Finally, located in a display case just outside Basin, this egg is inspired by Bambi. The base resembles a tree trunk, with one branch curving upward and around the egg. Painted on the front is Bambi with a butterfly perched on his tail, while his mother appears in the forest background alongside several woodland animals. On the back, Friend Owl and Flower join additional forest friends, completing the peaceful woodland scene.
