PLANNING TIP
On a personal note, please don't hesitate to use these facilities! On a recent trip to Disneyland, my 13 year old had a terrible headache! It came on very quickly and was more than likely due to dehydration (please remember to make your children drink water, especially during the summer months). By the time we reached Main Street (heading back to hotel), she was in tears. As we passed by the First Aid Center, we were approached by a Cast Member who asked if my daughter was ok. I explained she had a bad headache and we were heading back to the hotel. She asked us to come into the Center first to see if there was something they could do to make her more comfortable. Honestly, it never entered my mind to stop here and I was just trying to get back to a place where she could rest. Once inside, she was immediately given Ibuprofen (with my consent), ice water, ice packs and a cot to rest.  Within 20 minutes, she was feeling much better and ready to hit the parks again! I can't say enough about the First Aid Centers and they are there to help!

An indoor Kennel is available to the right of the entrance to Disneyland Park for Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. The Disneyland Resort Kennel accepts Credit Cards, Cash, Disney Gift Cards and Disney Dollars. Food is provided or you are welcome to bring your own. You must return to the Kennel to walk your animal so please add this to your schedule. The Kennel does not provide overnight boarding.  Animals can be dropped off 1/2 hour prior to park opening and must be picked up 1/2 hour after the park closes.

The Disneyland Kennel Club welcomes: dogs, cats, birds (unless there is an avian bird flu alert), rabbits and non-venomous reptiles. (They do not accept ferrets.) Dogs and cats four months or older must have official vet records that show their most recent rabies, distemper and hepatitis vaccinations. Cats also need proof of feline leukemia, rhinotracheitus and calcivirus vaccinations.

If you are traveling with your pet, you must park in the Mickey & Friends parking structure if you wish to board your pet at the Kennel. If you park in a different area, you will not be allowed to board the shuttle since they are not owned by Disney.

Lockers at Disneyland Resort

The lockers inside Disneyland Park are temporarily unavailable. Guests should use the lockers in Disney California Adventure or outside the Parks.

If you don’t want to carry those heavy backpacks and purchases, the Disneyland Resort offers lockers in both parks and central plaza.  Lockers located in the parks are smaller so if your plans include a picnic in the picnic area, you will need to store your items in the larger lockers located inside of the picnic area (outside food is not allowed in the parks).

Charging Lockers

Charging  lockers come in two styles, the first have a cable to charge an iPhone, Blackberry or Android device, the others have an outlet to plug in your own cable.  The cost is $2 for the first hour (in advance) and $2 for each additional hour.

Size/Price
Small 12"x x 18"h x 12.6"d - $7 All Day (All locations)
Large 12.5" x18 " x 19" - $10 All Day (All locations)

Locker Locations:

  • Disneyland Park
The lockers are located half-way down Main Street U.S.A. next to the Cone Shop.
  • Disney California Adventure

Lockers are located just inside the park Main Entrance to your right.

  • Central Plaza/Downtown Disney/Picnic Area
Guests can use lockers outside the main entrance to both Disneyland Park and California Adventure Park to store larger items and items not allowed in the parks (food, large backpacks and coolers).

Frequently Asked Questions:

Will I be able to rent a locker if I arrive at the parks later in the day?
Lockers are available on a first come, first serve basis and they do run out of lockers on busy days.  If the lockers are not available in the parks, try the lockers located outside in Central Plaza.

We plan on having a picnic, can we store our food and drinks in a locker?
Since outside food and drink are not permitted in the parks, these items can be stored in the larger lockers located in Central Plaza.

Who do I pay when I select my locker?
Disney uses ‘Smarte Lockers’ so you will be able to pay with cash or credit cards at the time you select your locker.

What if I lose my locker key?
There are no keys, you will receive a PIN code and will be able to access your locker at any time throughout the day. Please see Guest Services if you lose your PIN number.

Lost Children (or Adults)

As someone who has experienced this (I lost my 12 year old Brother for 4 hours on the 4th of July many years ago), it is possible to lose track of Children and Adults in the parks, especially on busy days.  It’s always a good idea to discuss this with your family and set up a meeting location in case you are separated.  Parents should monitor the location of their children at all times and hold their child's hand in busy traffic.

If you find yourself in this position, don’t panic!  Disney Cast Members are trained to handle these situations and will assist your lost child (and panicked parent). It’s also a good idea to tell your children if they do become lost to find the closest Disneyland Employee and they will help them.

Tip from a Disneyland Cast Member - "One thing I like to add is, I see this a lot, parents will get a red sticker from city hall or the guest relations cast member at the information boards that say “I’m here with…” and they can write in their name and contact number which they can be reached at.  This helps the cast members a lot if we are able to contact the child’s parents right away when lost.  As a cast member, I have no problem getting on the phone to call the parents to inform them I have their child and where we can meet."

Guests Aged 11 or Under

Guests aged 11 and under are taken to the Baby Care Center in the Pacific Wharf Area at Disney California Adventure.

Guests 12 and older

Guests 12 and over may leave a written message at City Hall or the Guest Relations Lobby or wait there.

No matter how careful you try to be, this is a common occurrence.  The funny part is once you locate your child, they will probably be having such a great time with Disneyland Cast Members they won’t want to leave.
