Walt Disney World Confirms Updated Mission: Space Won’t Feature Gary Sinise

On its official website, Walt Disney World has confirmed that Gary Sinise will no longer be part of the popular Epcot attraction Mission: Space when it returns from a “reimagining” on August 13th.

According to Disney, “actress Gina Torres will brief you as you prepare for your mission aboard the X-2 Deep Space Shuttle at the International Space Training Center (ISTC).”

Torres is most know for her roles on Hercules: The Legendary JourneysSerenity, and most recently, Westworld.

The change to the briefing is being triggered by an update to the ride, featuring a new family-friendly Green Mission that will allow children over 40 inches to enjoy the attraction.
