This spring, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment will introduce a new way for kids to learn about animals and the world around them. Together with Ruckus Media Group, SeaWorld is creating a series of digital storybooks based on the marine park's "animals, attractions and education and conservation efforts." The books are geared towards kids age three to eight, from new to independent readers. According to SeaWorld, the educational stories are written in a narrative form and are "based on nationally recognized curricula, are designed inspire enthusiasm for the natural world and will include exclusive photo, video and audio content from SeaWorld."
The books will be released on a variety of platforms for multiple devices, with new apps released throughout the year. SeaWorld is well-known for their conservation efforts, so a portion of the books' proceeds will go to the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund. This non-profit charity funds wildlife research, habitat protection, animal rescue and conservation education around the world.
