The largest resort on Walt Disney World property is the Caribbean Beach
Resort with 2112 rooms. Brightly colored 2 story buildings
are clustered into 5 villages named for Caribbean islands:
Barbados, Jamaica, Martinique, Aruba, and Trinidad (separated
into North and South). The villages surround a 45 acre
lake. In the midst of the lake, you'll find Caribbean Cay Island.
It is a great place to relax with the hammocks and secluded benches.
There is also a large playground for the children here.
Due to the vast size of the Caribbean Beach Resort, there
is an internal bus service for travelling around the resort.
Check-in, Guest Services and Bell Services are found in
the "Custom House", a separate building found
near the front entrance of the resort.

Old Port Royale Food Court The dining are at the Caribbean Beach Resort is housed in Old Port Royale. The food court has 6 counter-service restaurants that offer broiled chicken, pizza, baked goods, ice cream desserts, fresh fruit, hamburgers, deli sandwiches, salads, breakfast items and pasta. The hours are from 6 am to midnight.
Shutters at Old Port Royale is the sit down restaurant located in the Old Port Royal building of Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. After a recent visit, it’s our opinion that this restaurant is not up to par with what guests expect from a Disney restaurant.
The Caribbean Beach Resort main pool is found at Old Port Royale and is themed to resemble an old Spanish-style Caribbean fort complete with pirates' cannons and stone walls. There is a water slide, kiddie pool and two spas here as well. In addition to the main pool, each
village has its own quiet pool (including two at Trinidad, one for the North building and one for the South), and a white sand beach with hammocks and a playground.
TIP: Pool towels are not available at the quiet pools but are provided at the main pool, You can bring your room towels with you when using the pool facilities and call housekeeping for more towels.
Bicycles can be rented and the 1.4 mile promenade that surrounds the lake is popular for cycling, jogging, or walking. For those who prefer water travel, rentals of water sprites, paddle boats and pontoon boats are available.

Out of all the rooms at the Walt Disney World moderate resorts, the rooms at the Caribbean Beach Resort are the largest, at 340 square feet. The rooms are decorated in soft pastel hues with white oak furniture accented with pineapple motifs. The rooms were recently refurbished and now have a subtle Nemo theme. Also available at a premium rate in the Trinidad South building are Pirate themed rooms. While these rooms will definitely appeal to young boys, you should be aware that the beds here are unusual in order to accommodate the bed frames. Beds in Pirate rooms consist of a box spring and 4" pillow top - but no mattress.
Most rooms have 2 double beds, a night stand, a TV, an armoire that contains the TV and fridge, a luggage rack, a small table with 2 chairs, a small wall safe, a bench with storage area, and 2 sinks in a vanity with mirrors in a vanity area separate from the tub and commode. There are rooms available with a king size bed and some of these may be handicap accessible with a wheelchair-accessible shower in place of a tub. Each room also has a coffee maker and fridge. If there are more than 2 adults in a room, there will be an additional charge of $15 per adult, per night.
TIP: The closest rooms to the main building, Old Port Royale, are found in Martinique buildings 24, 25 and 26, and in Trinidad North buildings 31, 32 and 33.
Discount valid for stays select nights 4/13/12 - 6/14/12. Guests can save up to 30% when they book a standard room at select Disney resorts.
