Disney Cruise Line has communicated today with future cruisers holding reservations to let them know that, as a result of the coronavirus, originating in Wuhan, China, screening for guests and crew members boarding the DCL ships will be increased.
Disney Cruise Line has informed guests that those who have traveled from or through mainland China in the past 14 days (the 14 days prior to the start of their cruise), will not be allowed to board the ship.
Guests or crew members who have traveled from or through mainland China or who have been in direct contact with someone who has a suspected or confirmed case of novel coronavirus within 14 days prior to the beginning of their cruise are being asked to call DCL at 1-866-325-2112 or 407-566-3510.
The U.S. State Department has issued a Level 4 Travel Advisory, and, at this point, has recommended that no one travel to China. Disney Cruise Line has said that they will be closely monitoring the latest details regarding the situation, and is in contact with regional and international health agencies.
The ships in the Disney Cruise Line fleet consistently receive high health inspection scores from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and assured guests in today’s communication that they have a complete plan in place for situations such as this one.
