Japanese Government Lifts State of Emergency; No Opening Date Announced for Tokyo Disneyland

As businesses are beginning to reopen in Japan, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has completely lifted Coronavirus State of Emergency in Tokyo and four other remaining areas on Monday. The stay at home measures were lifted in most of Japan back on May 14th. Oriental Land Co. Arranges $1.9 Billion Line of Credit to Assist Tokyo Disneyland with Extended Closure

Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea have both been closed since the end of February and in order to support the Resort during this extended closure, Oriental Land Co. has secured a ¥200 billion (approx $1.9 USD) line of credit with Mizuho Bank, Ltd., a large transaction bank. Tokyo Disneyland Extends Closure to Early April Due to Coronavirus Outbreak

UPDATE 3/27/20 – 8:30am: Tokyo Disneyland has announced that they are extending their closure until April 20, 2020, at the earliest. Tokyo Disney Resort has remained closed since Saturday, February 29, 2020, and announced Wednesday that it will extend its closure until early April at the earliest.
