3) Shane Perez Swims To Discovery Island
From the devastating alligator attack earlier this year at Walt Disney World, it is now extremely clear to people around the world just how dangerous being in the water in Florida is. That knowledge of alligators, and other dangerous wildlife, is what makes photographer Shane Perez’s story so incredibly risky. In 2009, Shane Perez and a small group wanted to take photos of the abandoned Disney’s River Country water park and Disney’s Discovery Island on Bay Lake. Their treacherous journey included them swimming across Bay Lake from Disney’s River Country all the way to Discovery Island, which is a distance of over 350 feet. Shane Perez successfully blogged about his experience, and took some extremely interesting pictures, but at the end of the day it was an extremely shortsighted adventure. Now, not only is Shane Perez banned from Walt Disney World, but he and his team put themselves in a lot of danger that night. Not only were they swimming in alligator infested waters, but they also could have been hit by a Disney ferry or bitten by a water snake; the list goes on and on as to why this adventure was ill-conceived.
2) David Swindler Doesn’t Build A Meth Lab
As fans of the Disney Parks, we are all used to waiting. Waiting in line for an attraction, waiting for the fireworks to start, or waiting to talk to the front desk at the hotel. Well, David Swindler grew impatient of waiting so long. Trying to extend his two day vacation at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, he was waiting in line for the front desk when he became annoyed by how long it was taking the cast members. Because of this, David Swindler blurted out that he could build a meth lab in his room before he could get any service, a bad joke he would immediately regret. Disney didn’t take Mr. Swindler’s remarks as a joke and had the Orange County Sheriff’s Office raid his room looking for a meth lab. David Swindler says that he is still a lifelong fan that loves Disney, regardless of that fact that he isn’t allowed on Walt Disney World property.
1) Adam The Woo Caught Vlogging Backstage
With a quarter of a million subscribers on YouTube, Adam the Woo has made a name for himself. Adam the Woo’s claim to fame is vlogging his adventures through abandoned buildings, roadside attractions, and even backstage areas of Walt Disney World. After starting his channel in March of 2006, Adam the Woo had moderate success with his YouTube videos, but his backstage and abandoned Disney videos are what really took his channel to the next level. Adam the Woo went on adventures to Disney’s River Country, the original ImageWorks in the Imagination Pavilion, and so much more. Eventually Disney caught on to Adam the Woo’s Youtube channel, and stopped Adam at the front gate of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. There is a happy ending to Adam the Woo’s story, after years of not entering Walt Disney World, Adam the Woo finally had his ban lifted by Disney. Adam no longer sneaks into backstage areas of Walt Disney World, but has continued to occasionally vlog from the Disney parks.
