Best Table Service Restaurants at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks

Eating in one of the four theme parks at Walt Disney World can be an enjoyable experience if you have the time for it. If you are willing to take an hour or so out of your day, and sit down at a Table Service restaurant in one of the parks, you won’t regret it. However, if you are not willing to take that time out of your day, then your other option is Quick Service. Disney’s Quick Service restaurants are obviously a lot quicker, but also a lot more affordable. But for a more relaxed, albeit pricier experience, look to Table Service. The best restaurants were chosen based on average Google review, menu variety, and location. The Table Service Restaurants tend to be very good at Walt Disney World, so here are the best from each theme park:

Magic Kingdom

Be Our Guest Restaurant

Be Our Guest is a fairly new, but incredibly popular French restaurant in Fantasyland. Be Our Guest is actually inside the Beast’s Castle. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are all offered here. Breakfast offerings include a Croissant Doughnut and an Open-Faced Bacon and Egg Sandwich. Lunch and Dinner offerings include a Carved Prime Chuck Roast Beef Sandwich, a Vegetable Quiche, and Tuna Niçoise Salad. A Kids Menu is available and includes Crepes du Cogsworth and Scrambled Eggs du Maurice. Dessert offerings include a Chocolate Cream Puff and a Strawberry Cream Cheese Cupcake. Advance Dining Reservations are available, and are almost definitely necessary, especially for Lunch and Dinner. Prices are between $15-$30 per adult, and the Disney Dining Plan is accepted. Breakfast and Lunch are a Quick Service credit, whereas Dinner is a Table Service credit.

Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen

The Skipper Canteen is a brand new African style restaurant, in Adventureland. Skipper Canteen is operated by Jungle Cruise Skippers, who tell the same corny jokes as always. Skipper Canteen serves both Lunch and Dinner, offerings include Char Shiu Pork, Dr. Falls’ Signature Grilled Steak, and Tastes Like Chicken Because It Is! The Kids Menu includes Junior Skip’s Special Mac & Cheese and Amazon Annie’s House-made Arepas. Desserts include Bertha’s Banh Bong Lan Cake with Mango Lime Sorbet and Coconut Bar with Pineapple-Basil Compote and Vanilla Cream. Surprisingly enough, Advance Dining Reservations are not accepted here. You must walk in, and wait to be seated. However, this does not seem to be much of an issue, and most people get seated quickly. The Disney Dining Plan is accepted here and requires one Table Service credit. Pricing otherwise is $15-$30 per adult.

Liberty Tree Tavern

Liberty Tree Tavern is an American restaurant located in Liberty Square. The restaurant is colonial themed and features six different dining rooms. Liberty Tree Tavern serves both Lunch and Dinner, and offerings include Angus Chuck Cheeseburger, Freedom Pasta with Grilled Chicken, and Tavern-battered Fish and Chips. A Kids Menu is available and includes Kids’ Mickey Check Meal – Oven-roasted Turkey and Macaroni & Cheese. Desserts on the menu include Boston Cream Pie and Johnny Appleseed’s Cake.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The Hollywood Brown Derby

The Hollywood Brown Derby is a very popular restaurant in Hollywood Studios. It is themed after the actual, famous Brown Derby Restaurant in Hollywood. The food served is American, and tends to be much better than anything you would get elsewhere in the park. Entree options include Andouille-crusted Chicken Breast, Grilled Wagyu Beef Burger, and The Original Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken or Shrimp. Dessert is a Mini Dessert Trio; you choose three smaller desserts, such as Banana Toffee Cake or Double Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée. A Kids Menu is offered and includes a Hot Dog and a Grilled Cheese on Whole-Wheat Bread. Both Lunch and Dinner are served here. Pricing is $15-$60 per adult, and the Disney Dining Plan is accepted, however, two table credits are required per person. An advanced dining reservation is highly recommended.

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant

The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant is a unique dining experience in which you sit in an old-fashioned car and watch black and white movies while you eat your meal. Waiters and Waitresses come to your car, just as they would come to your table at an average restaurant. The food is American, and Sci-Fi Dine-In now offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Entree options include Grilled Chicken BLT, House-smoked St. Louis-style Pork Ribs, and Vegetarian Shepherd’s Pie Sci Fi-style. A Kids Menu is available and includes Macaroni & Cheese and a Cheeseburger. A very popular dessert option are their milkshakes. Pricing is similar to all other Table Service Restaurants. The Sci-Fi Dine-In accepts the Disney Dining Plan, and advance dining reservations. An ADR is highly suggested, as this restaurant can fill up even on less crowded days.

50’s Prime Time Café

50’s Prime Time Café is an American restaurant, themed after Mom’s Kitchen in the 1950s. TVs all around the restaurant showcase black and white cartoons and TV shows. The waitresses will become frustrated when your elbows are on the table, or you do not finish your vegetables, as part of the experience and theming. Prime Time Café offers both lunch and dinner, and contains a full bar. Entrees include Aunt Liz’s Golden Fried Chicken, Cousin Ann’s Traditional Meatloaf, and even Dad’s Stuffed Pork Chop. A Kids Menu is available and includes Aunt Betty’s Chicken Nuggets and Kids’ Mickey Check Meal – Goofy’s Salmon. A very popular dessert choice is the Peanut Butter and Jelly Milkshake. Pricing is on par with most other Table Service Restaurants. This restaurant accepts the Disney Dining Plan and advance dining reservations. An ADR is suggested, however on less crowded days you could probably get a table without one.
