Each year the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention surprise cruise lines with two inspections. The Disney Dream recently underwent one of these inspections and passed with a perfect score. This was the ships 12th perfect health score out of 15 total inspections since the ship started sailing in 2011. The Disney Dream has never failed an inspection, in fact, the ship has never scored below a 94.
In total the inspection checklist is 44 items long. Almost everything is scrutinized, from the medical facilities to the swimming pools. One of the main objectives of these inspections is the prevention of gastrointestinal illnesses.
