As of May 5, 2025, Walt Disney World has not yet announced the dates or ticket sales for this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP). This is somewhat unusual, as that announcement typically happens in April. This delay has us wondering what’s going on and if there are potential changes to the popular event.
In recent years, Disney has announced details about MNSSHP during its “Halfway to Halloween” celebration, which has previously taken place in late April or early May. For example, announcements were made on May 7th in 2021, April 28th in 2022, and April 20th in 2023. However, this year’s lack of an announcement is notable and has raised questions about potential changes to the event’s schedule or format.
We know that Disney is focusing hard on boosting its summer attendance, which may be why the announcement has been delayed. We still haven’t heard a word about the 2025 EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival dates, either. By postponing fall event promotions, Disney may be trying to encourage more immediate bookings for the summer season.
Despite the lack of official information, there is no indication that MNSSHP will be canceled or significantly changed. The event has consistently attracted large crowds and often sells out, regardless of any adjustments that have been made in the past. It’s very likely that Disney is simply adjusting its announcement timeline rather than making any substantial changes to the event itself.
For those planning to attend MNSSHP this year, keep your eyes and ears open for incoming announcements, as we’ll share the details as soon as we have them.
