Last summer, I returned to The DIS and once again started sharing information and stories from my Disneyland experiences, including my hotel stays. Over the last year, I’ve stayed at a different Good Neighbor Hotel each month and have shared my take on each of those properties.
Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotels are off-property, but nearby, hotels that meet standards for quality and service set by Disney. Guests can include these properties as part of a Disneyland vacation package booked through folks like Dreams Unlimited Travel. Good Neighbor Hotels are classified as Moderate, Deluxe, Superior, or Suites, and I’ve had the pleasure of staying in hotels from all four categories.
With quite a few hotel stays under my belt, I thought it might be time to share a summary of each Good Neighbor Hotel and links to even more information.
In the order I visited:
Castle Inn & Suites [Moderate]
This hotel had a great location, plenty of parking, and towel animals.

Candy Cane Inn [Moderate]
This is a sentimental favorite for many, and I was happy with the recent updates.

Portofino Inn & Suites [Moderate]
A recent renovation was evident, and the patios and balconies were a bonus.

Sheraton Park Hotel [Superior]
Featuring balconies in most rooms and a table I was fascinated with, this hotel is convenient to both Disneyland and the convention center.

Tropicana Inn & Suites [Moderate]
I loved the bright themed colors and a location as close to the Disneyland Resort as you could possibly get.

Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel [Moderate]
This fan favorite features a bright and comfortable room, plus a very interesting balcony.

Motel 6 Anaheim Maingate [Moderate]
This version is much larger than the roadside locations you’re used to, but still clean and convenient.

Candlewood Suites Anaheim Resort Area [Suites]
With spacious rooms and kitchen areas, this may be what you’re looking for during an extended stay in Southern California.

Best Western Plus Pavilions [Moderate]
I enjoyed the familiar accommodations on a budget and Denny’s for breakfast!

Best Western Plus Stovall’s Inn [Moderate]
With its hearty breakfast and historical topiaries, I think this classic hotel is worth a look.

Springhill Suites Anaheim Resort Convention Center [Suites]
This hotel offers spacious rooms that will work for large families and I enjoyed the location in the heart of the resort area.

Clarion Hotel Anaheim Resort [Moderate]
If you need to be near the Anaheim Convention Center and you’re on a budget, this could be the right choice.

Hilton Anaheim [Superior]
When I need to be next to the Anaheim Convention Center, this largest hotel in Orange County is on my short list, and if you time your trip when there isn’t a convention, you may even find some deals.

Hotel Lulu Anaheim Resort [Deluxe]
This hotel made me smile, from the free cocktail at check-in to the beach theme throughout, including the pseudo-Disney artwork in the elevator lobbies.

It was fun reminiscing about the year (and a bit more) of Good Neighbor Hotels. I hope that you’ll find the links useful as you plan your next Disneyland Resort vacation.
