Disney World Reverts Back to Previous Park Reservation Policy for Magic Kingdom

The special theme park reservation requirements for Walt Disney World Annual Passholders visiting Magic Kingdom, which were implemented as a limited-time measure due to anticipated demand from the launch of Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, have officially ended as of today.

Beginning Monday, July 28, 2025, park pass reservation requirements revert back to the previous policy, which was, “Annual Passholders may visit the theme parks without a theme park reservation on a good-to-go day or after 2:00 p.m. (except on Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom park).”

The new parade is currently presented twice nightly at 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. The procession begins at Main Street, U.S.A., and follows the park’s parade route toward Frontierland at both times. We love that the parade is being presented two times each evening, as it gives guests the opportunity to either go on rides during the first showing and watch the second, or maybe they’d like to watch the parade twice! This kind of flexibility with the parade times has typically only been available to enjoy during a special event like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

There’s something truly magical about having a nightly parade back at Magic Kingdom; it feels like a warm hug from Disney history. This new parade is a joyful blend of what we loved most about the Main Street Electrical Parade and SpectroMagic, with twinkling lights, whimsical floats, and a soundtrack that gives you goosebumps in the best way. It brings that nostalgic glow down Main Street while still feeling fresh and exciting, reminding longtime fans why nighttime at the park used to be – and now once again is – such a special part of the day.

Have you had the chance to see Disney Starlight yet? What did you think of it?
