Thanksgiving is all about gathering with family, sharing a delicious meal, and creating memories together. Now imagine adding a touch of Disney magic to the mix. Spending Thanksgiving Day at Walt Disney World can turn an already special holiday into an unforgettable experience. This year, Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 27, 2025, and dining reservations are about to open, making now the perfect time to start planning your festive feast.
Dining at Walt Disney World on Thanksgiving offers something for everyone, whether you prefer a traditional holiday spread or a unique twist on the classics. Many restaurants across the parks and resorts feature special Thanksgiving menus that include turkey, stuffing, and seasonal sides, while others serve up creative takes that still feel festive.

One of my favorite memories is of California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Perched high above Magic Kingdom, this signature restaurant offers sweeping views of Cinderella Castle and, later in the evening, fireworks. A Thanksgiving meal here feels extra special with its elegant atmosphere and inventive menu that celebrates seasonal flavors.
Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is another standout choice. Located right on the water, it offers stunning views of Seven Seas Lagoon and the Electrical Water Pageant. A meal here is as much about the experience as the food, and Thanksgiving night feels even more magical with the resort’s holiday décor surrounding you. You can even step outside to watch the nightly Magic Kingdom fireworks from the decks surrounding the restaurant.

For those who want the classic American holiday meal, Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom is a must. This Colonial-style restaurant serves a traditional family-style feast all year long, featuring roasted turkey, pot roast, and pork with sides like mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. On Thanksgiving Day, it feels like the perfect spot to celebrate.
Other great choices include Ale & Compass at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, which often features seasonal offerings, and Steakhouse 71 at the Contemporary, which provides a more modern dining experience with a relaxed yet festive vibe.

Eating Thanksgiving dinner at Walt Disney World is about more than the meal, it’s about the memories you make together with those who are most important. Whether you’re enjoying a fine-dining experience with sweeping views or sharing comfort food in the heart of Magic Kingdom, it’s a chance to celebrate the holiday in a way your family will never forget.
Have you ever spent Thanksgiving Day at Walt Disney World? Did you try one of these restaurants or another hidden gem? With reservations about to open, now’s the time to decide if this year is the one to add a little Disney magic to your holiday tradition.
P.S. Remember, dining reservations open 60 days in advance at Walt Disney World and, if you’re staying at a Disney-owned and operated resort, you can secure your reservations for up to ten days into your vacation, giving you a head start on everyone else.
