D23 EXPO INFORMATION
Celebrate all things Disney as the D23 Expo takes over the Anaheim Convention Center.  The event features the Disney Legend Awards, exhibits from the Walt Disney Archives, panels, celebrity appearances, and presentations from all divisions of the Disney Company, including live-action films, animation, television and the theme parks.

Center Stage

 

The center of the D23 Expo floor will be the home for several live performances and lots of fun, including appearances by Aimee Carrero & Lou Diamond Phillips from Elena of Avalor, Temecula Road, Tomasina, Billy Hill and the Hillbillies, Susan Egan from Broadway's Beauty and the Beast, Disney animator's Eric Goldberg & Mark Henn and Marvel's Brian Crosby. Fan favorite Bill Rogers, the voice of Disneyland, will return again this year to record fans' outgoing voicemail messages.

 

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts

 

A Galaxy of Stories

 

Disney Parks will present an entire pavilion that will give guests a glimpse at the new Star Wars-themed lands coming to Disneyland and Hollywood Studios, including a detailed model of the 14-acre lands, plus artwork and other media showing the creative process behind the new lands.

 

Mickey's of Glendale

 

The Imagineer-exclusive store will once again bring a pop-up store that will include limited-edition merchandise and WDI souvenirs.

 

Walt Disney Archives

 

This year's exhibit from the Walt Disney Archives is titled "A Pirate's Life for Me: Disney's Rascals, Scoundrels and Really Bad Eggs." The 12,000-square-foot display will feature some of Disney's most famous pirates from Captain Hook to Captain Jack Sparrow, plus pieces from Pirates of the Caribbean attractions around the world

 

Disney Dream Store

 

This year's Dream Store will include merchandise celebrating the 50th anniversary of Pirates of the Caribbean, 40th anniversary of Space Mountain, 35th anniversary of Epcot, and 30th anniversary of Star Tours.

 

The Dream Store will also debut the new Interchangeable Bow Collection that allows guests to customize their Ear headbands.

 

This will also be where guests will find official D23 Expo merchandise and Disney Legends 30th Anniversary merchandise, plus a large collection of art from many different Disney artists. Some of the artists, along with Disney authors, will appear at the throughout the Expo signing their work.

 

 

Disney Store

 

The Disney Store's 5,000 square foot location will feature new collections, limited-edition sets, and never-before-seen items.

 

The Disney Designer collection will three new limited edition dolls featuring characters from Pinocchio, Mulan and The Incredibles and a new special collection of Pixar characters has been created in partnership with John Lasseter and the Pixar team.

 

Star Wars apparel, accessories, drinkware, and collectibles will be available, including the limited-edition Star Wars Elite Series Premium Action Figures featuring iconic hero and villain duos.

 

The Disney Store will celebrate the 90th anniversary of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, 80th anniversary of Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, and 75th anniversary of Bambi with special merchandise.

 

Each day during the Expo, a new limited-edition set of Tsum Tsum will be released.

 

The Minnie Mouse Signature Collection features apparel and accessories that will keep guests looking stylish.

 

Ashley Eckstein (Star Wars Rebels), founder of Her Universe, has created some exclusive pieces that will be available for the first time during the Expo.

 

The Marvel collection will featuring limited-edition collectibles, a pin set, lithograph set, and ornament set.

 

StorePass will once again be available beginning at 9:00am each day, which will allow guests to shop with shorter lines between 11:00am and 5:00pm.

 

Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media (DCPI)

 

The DCPI pavilion will let fans experience how Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel can enrich their daily lives.  The area will be divided up into four distinct environments and guests will be able immerse themselves by, for example, playing in the park environment or watching cooking demos in the kitchen environment.

 

Guests will also be able to purchase select books at both the DCPI pavilion and the Dream Store before they are available to the general public, inluding:

 

Oh My Disney Stage

 

At the center of the DCPI pavilion is the Oh My Disney Stage which will include appearances by celebrity guests, games shows, toy unboxings and a live taping of The Oh My Disney Show hosted by Maker creator Alexys Gabrielle.

Disney Channel/Disney XD/Disney Junior

 

At the Disney Channel pavilion you'll be able to take a dive in Scrooge McDuck's Money Bin, visit McStuffins Toy Hospital or play with the new Doc McStuffins Baby app.

 

On Friday (7/14) Producer/director Kenny Ortega and the cast of Descedants 2 will make an appearance. Watch for details and times for the appearance by Dove Cameron, Cameron Boyce, Sofia Carson, and Booboo Stewart.

 

Disney Music Emporium

 

The Disney Music Emporium pavilion will feature signings by composer Michael Giacchino (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Inside Out, Up), composer Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 & 2), Auli’i Cravalho (Moana), Dove Cameron (Descendants 2, Liv and Maddie), Sofia Carson (Descendants 2), Jordan Fisher, and Temecula Road. The schedule is to be announced.

 

The pavilion will also feature a pop-up store that will include the latest music product releases, plus lithographs, record players, picture discs, posters, and the special release of “Walt Disney Records The Legacy Collection Robin Hood”, which is available for the first time.  The new album features previously unreleased demos and bonus tracks performed by Louis Prima.

 

Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios

 

Watch for artist demonstrations and fan giveaways, plus check out interactive displays featuring the latest films.

 

Marvel Studios

 

Guests can get a closer look at some of the costumes from Thor: Ragnarok and Black Panther, plus explore props and take photos with set pieces from the Thor movie.

 

You'll also be able to experience some new new Marvel-themed video games, including LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite, Marvel Heroes Omega, MARVEL: Future Fight, and Marvel Puzzle Quest.

 

Disney Movie Rewards & Disney Movie Club

 

Guests can experience a unique augmented reality photo booth, earn mystery points, and sign up for special offers.

D23 Expo's Ultimate Fan Street Party

 

Twice daily, a one-of-a-kind street party will be making its way through the D23 Expo floor, including a live band, Disney characters and celebrity grand marshals. The first street party on Friday will feature Stan Lee and Mark Hamill, while later in the day the cast of Descendants 2 will be on hand.
