The 13th Annual Epcot International Food and Wine Festival
"Cities in Wonderland "

 

The 13th Annual Epcot International Food and Wine Festival will take place on

September 26 - November 9, 2008

The theme for 2008 is "Cities in Wonderland" and will feature cuisine from "foodie" cities such as Cork, Ireland; Shanghai, China; Cape Town, South Africa' Bologna, Italy; Mexico City, Tokyo and Marrakesh, Morrocco.

The Eat to the Beat Concert will feature new acts including En Vogue, Spyro Gyra, David Sanborn and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. Among the perennial favorites returning for the event are Jon Secada, , Kool & The Gang and Otis Day and the Knights.

Epcot International Food & Wine FestivalCelebrating its 12th year, the 2007 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival's theme is "Tastefully Inspired." Your Epcot admission is all that’s needed to participate in this popular venue.

The Festival Welcome Center features a Wine Shop where you can purchase your favorite selection as well as other event souvenirs.

There are marketplaces featuring food, wine and beer The appetizer sized portions range in price from $1.50 - $4.50 and provide the perfect opportunity to try the traditional cuisine from around the world.

This year's International Food and Wine Festival will play host to seminars, tasting events and sumptuous dinners overseen by top Disney Chefs as well as renowned guest Chefs.

Over the course of the Festival, there will be 1200 beer and wine seminars scheduled with complimentary samples.

The popular Party for the Senses, Food and Wine Pairings, Exquisite Evenings at Epcot Dinners, Odyssey Cooking School Seminars as well as other dinners/events.



Eat to the Beat Concert Series

As with all Disney events, themed entertainment is part of the festivities. Visitors to the Food and Wine Festival can “Eat to the Beat!”

~A PARTY FOR THE SENSES - 2007

Hosted by Vanity Fair

This popular venue takes place each Saturday during the Food and Wine Festival at the World ShowPlace located between Canada and United Kingdom Pavilions. You’ll begin this memorable evening with reserved seating at the 5:45pm performance of the Eat to the Beat Concert.  $135 per person plus tax, gratuity included.

From 6:30 to 9:00pm, you’ll be sampling the culinary creations of 25 renowned chefs and over 70 great beers and wines. Each tasting station will be a new sensation for the senses.

THE COOK, THE BOOK AND THE BOTTLE - The Chef's Showplace, Odyssey - 2007

A unique opportunity to view a demonstration by a noted chef. A three course meal is prepared and served for lunch. Wine will be served with an expert explaining the pairings.
